The student videomakers of the Manetti Porciatti hub win an award at Didacta

The Manetti Porciatti Technology Center of Grosseto awarded at Didacta Italia in Florence for having participated in the "Future of Europe seen by young people in the European Year dedicated to them" competition.

The boys of the 5th A Mechanics, Mechatronics and Energy participated by proposing a video that included the salient moments of the PCTO experience carried out in La Coruna last summer. The students Daniele Chiaramonti and Guglielmo Forci were present to collect the award at the stand of the Tuscany Region set up at Didacta Italia in the premises of the Fortezza da Basso, accompanied by Professor Teresa Cimino. The award ceremony took place in the presence of the regional councilor for Education Alessandra Nardini and Roberto Curtolo, director of the Tuscany Usr III Office.

“The objective of the project in which we participated - explains Professor Cimino - was to enhance the technical and professional skills of the students who attend institutes like ours, through the creation of an HD video, lasting a maximum of 3 minutes, in which included the presence and active participation of the students, relating to a very current topic such as the future of Europe through their eyes. We are happy for this recognition because the work produced was judged to be worthy of the theme.”

Even the head teacher Claudio Simoni puffs out his chest proudly for the many activities in which his students have engaged and have received consensus and recognition. “Every week we emerge in a different area - he comments - and in different contexts, testifying to the fact that our young people, alongside strong technical, scientific and professional skills that are widely recognized, have acquired high transversal skills, the result of their commitment but also of the work of our teachers.

Congratulations to the 5th AM class for the prize that the Region has awarded.”
