SMALL ENTREPRENEURS GROW

THE SELF-ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROJECTS OF THE MANETTI PORCATTI CENTER OF GROSSETO PRESENTED

In recent days, the Pegaso Room hosted the presentation of nine of the thirty-two self-entrepreneurship projects carried out by the students of the Manetti Porciatti Technological Center and included in the PCTO and Civic Education courses.

In front of the world of businesses and institutions, these "budding entrepreneurs" reported and illustrated "Create your business", a project that involved various curricular disciplines from IT, to Electrical Engineering and Building Design up to Financial Education, PCTO and Civic Education.

The head teacher, Claudio Simoni, opened the proceedings by underlining the great work developed by the students and the elements of innovation they bring. The president of the Maremma and Tyrrhenian Chamber of Commerce, Riccardo Breda, as a sponsor of projects such as "Ideas in Action", specifically developed in this area, highlighted how these paths "strengthen the acquisition of technical skills necessary to compete in a world like the entrepreneurial one, dynamic and constantly evolving and as a turning point for the territory".

Among others, the delegate councilor for School Buildings, Cecilia Buggiani, the councilor for Education and Youth Policies of the Municipality of Grosseto, Angela Amante, the provincial commander of the Guardia di Finanza, Cesare Antuofermo, the president of Ance Rossano Massai, the vice-president of the College of Surveyors, Cristina Benigni, Emiliano Calchetti for Confartigianato and Caterina Fratangeli for Confindustria.

Innovation, competence and creativity were the watchwords that guided the projects; from apps for real estate agencies to those dedicated to financial consultancy, up to moving on to anti-stress play objects, boxes for home cultivation of basil, or to the creation of real structures with social value at a sporting and residential level, all without evading the criteria of environmental sustainability. “We are truly satisfied with the results achieved by our students - commented the teachers Vincenzo Di Gennaro and Simone Pizzinelli, responsible for the PCTO path - because, regardless of the feasibility of the projects, they were able to acquire new paths and methodologies for acting and working .”
